Template notice: This document is a starting template, not legal advice. Before relying on it commercially, have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.
This policy explains what data Omega Stocks collects, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. Data we collect
If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication details (handled by our auth provider). We store the data you create in the app — such as your portfolio positions, watchlist and tracked picks. We do not collect more than we need to run the Service.
2. What we do NOT collect
We never ask for or store your bank details, brokerage credentials, card numbers, or government IDs. Payment details, if you subscribe, are handled entirely by our payment processor and never touch our servers.
3. How we use data
To provide and improve the Service: authenticate you, save your portfolio and picks, send the alerts you opt into, and keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Local storage
Before you sign in, the app stores your data in your browser’s local storage on your own device. Clearing your browser data removes it. This data does not leave your device until you choose to sync it to an account.
5. Third-party processors
We use trusted providers to operate the Service — for hosting, authentication and database (e.g. Vercel, Supabase), market data (e.g. Yahoo Finance), AI analysis (e.g. Anthropic), and optional messaging (e.g. CallMeBot). Each processes data only to provide their function.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the Service secure. We do not use advertising trackers.
7. Your rights
You can access, export or delete your account data at any time. Deleting your account removes your stored personal data, subject to any legal retention requirements.
8. Data security
We use industry-standard measures and reputable providers to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we never store the most sensitive financial data in the first place.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
